Two tones only, always exact opposites. In pinwheel mode, AXES is the number of
lines through the letter's center — 1 axis is a rotatable bisection, 2 is
quadrant blades, 8 is a dazzle rosette. Drift bends the blades unevenly;
scramble spins each letter to its own angle.
